Game of Thrones rules, Hannibal starts so-so + 41 other genre shows

The Walking Dead might not be around anymore, but a genre show is still dominating Sunday nights.

Game of Thrones stayed strong in its second week, and it's already got a fourth season for its trouble. Plus Hannibal premiered, and though its numbers weren't stellar, there's still hope for the future. Check the numbers and commentary below to see how your favorite shows did in Live + Same Day viewers and ratings.

MONDAY, April 1st

Being Human (Syfy) 1.12 million viewers/0.5

Being Human slipped a bit this week. The season finale could give it a boost though, so keep an eye out.

Lost Girl (Syfy) 0.82 million viewers/0.3

Lost Girl broke even this week for another low but not dismal broadcast. This one also has a finale coming up, though, so a boost is very possible.

Bates Motel (A&E) 2.82 million viewers/1.2

Bates Motel dipped a bit in its third week, but mostly held on to the strong numbers it put up in the first two weeks. That's enough to earn it a second season already.

Revolution (NBC) 6.36 million viewers/2.2/6 share

Revolution took a big dip in viewers and ratings this week for its worst night ever. Hopefully it can rebound, especially with May sweeps on the horizon.

Teen Wolf (MTV) — Returns June 3, 2013

Warehouse 13 (Syfy) — Returns April 2013

Tron: Uprising (Disney XD) — Returns Unknown

Continuum (Syfy) — Returns Unknown

Canceled Shows

Alphas (Syfy)

WEDNESDAY, April 3rd

Arrow (CW) 2.92 million viewers/0.9/3 share

Arrow picked up a few viewers and broke even with its ratings score. We'll see if May brings it a boost.

Supernatural (CW) 1.90 million viewers/0.8/2 share

Supernatural took a drop across the board this week, but still did pretty well for a CW series.

Shows on Hiatus

Futurama (Comedy) — Returns 2013

American Horror Story (FX) — Returns Fall 2013

Dragons: Riders of Berk (TOON) — Returns Unknown

The Neighbors (ABC) — Returns Unknown

THURSDAY, April 4th

The Big Bang Theory (CBS) 17.24 million viewers/5.2/17 share

After a few weeks off The Big Bang Theory returned to reliably awesome numbers.

Person of Interest (CBS) 14.57 million viewers/2.7/8 share

Person of Interest also had a very good night on its return.

Elementary (CBS) 10.48 million viewers/2.1/6 share

Elementary had to go head-to-head with new series Hannibal this week, and while it did slip a bit, it still put up strong numbers.

The Vampire Diaries (CW) -- OFF

Beauty and the Beast (CW) -- OFF

Archer (FX) 1.3 million viewers/0.8

Archer slipped a bit but mostly held on to its consistently good numbers for season four.

Hannibal (NBC) 4.36 million viewers/1.6/4 share

The new series focusing on the pre-Silence of the Lambs life of Hannibal Lecter got off to a slow start with its premiere, coming in last in its timeslot and pulling in fewer than 5 million viewers. That doesn't doom it, especially if it begins to catch on in subsequent weeks, but it did worse than last year's premiere of NBC midseason replacement Awake, and we all saw how that turned out. The second episode's numbers will be very important here.

Saving Hope (NBC) — Returns Unknown

Wilfred (FX) — Returns 2013

Haven (Syfy) — Returns Unknown

Last Resort (ABC)

Zero Hour (ABC)

FRIDAY, April 5th

Touch (FOX) 2.29 million viewers/0.6/2 share

Touch lost viewers but gained a tenth of a ratings point this week. A ratings boost is always nice, but this show is too far gone for a tenth of a point to matter too much.

Merlin (Syfy) -- OFF (Returns May 3)

Spartacus: War of the Damned 1.07 million viewers/0.4

Spartacus returned from a break to good but not great numbers in the lead-up to the series finale.

Grimm (NBC) 5.13 million viewers/1.5/5 share

Grimm got a nice boost in viewers and ratings this week for its best overall episode since its midseason return. Expect this one to stick around.

Cult (CW) 0.62 million viewers/0.2/1 share

Cult got an all around boost this week, but it was definitely not big enough to inspire confidence that this show can turn around. If you're a fan, enjoy it while it lasts.

Completed Shows

Fringe (FOX) — Run ended after five seasons

SATURDAY, April 6th

Doctor Who (BBCA) 0.97 million viewers/0.4

Doctor Who took a substantial but not disastrous drop this week, but that often happens at this point. Expect a boost as we get closer to this season's endgame, and an even bigger boost when the 50th-anniversary stuff arrives.

Orphan Black (BBCA) 0.40 million viewers/0.2

Orphan Black took a drop across the board this week, but it's important to note that these numbers represent only one of two networks the show is airing on (it's also got a Canadian audience). It's also important to note that Saturday nights are historically weak for TV, so it's very possible that DVR numbers will give this one quite a boost.

Shows on Hiatus

Bedlam (BBC) — Returns Unknown

Canceled Shows

Clone Wars (TOON)

SUNDAY, April 7th

Once Upon a Time (ABC) --OFF

666 Park Avenue (ABC) — OFF

666 Park Avenue's final four episodes will show up this summer on ABC, then it's done.

Game of Thrones (HBO) 4.27 million viewers/2.3

Game of Thrones took a slight drop in its second week, but it had enough juice to send to the top of the Sunday night cable listings (now that The Walking Dead's not around, anyway).

Shows on Hiatus

Falling Skies (TNT) — Returns 2013

True Blood (HBO) — Returns 2013

The Walking Dead (AMC) — Returns Fall, 2013
