Life is rough for a Game of Thrones character, but that doesn't mean the show's cast doesn't have a hell of a lot of fun.

Several stars of HBO's mega-hit fantasy series are in San Diego right now, alongside showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss and creator George R.R. Martin, to promote the show, reveal some news about season five, and take part in the annual Comic-Con panel devoted to all things Game of Thrones. The show's fourth season was filled with dark and gruesome moments, including shocking deaths, another wedding gone wrong, dark doings North of the Wall, and a finale that sets the stage for even more chaos next year. But while the finished product was filled with high drama, despair and bloodshed, what happened while season four was being filmed was often rather silly, as the just-released season four blooper reel shows.

The two-minute reel features plenty of funny faces, flubbed lines (who knew the stone-faced, unflappable Charles Dance even messes up sometimes?), bungled stunts, tangled capes and more. It's all funny, but there are a few particular standout moments, like Pedro Pascal nearly setting his hair on fire, a White Walker struggling to dismount a horse, and the grand finale, which features Peter Dinklage and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau leading the entire Red Keep throne room in a song and dance. Check it out below:

Well, when you're making a show that gets this bleak, having a healthy sense of humor probably helps a lot, and it looks like everyone in the Thrones cast is more than game for a laugh.

Game of Thrones returns to HBO for its fifth season next year, and a sixth season has already been ordered for 2016.
