At long last, the Fantastic Four are returning to comics. More specifically, they are once again getting their own series after an extended absence. Flame on!

To celebrate the return of Reed, Sue, Johnny, and Ben, Marvel Comics has released a new trailer that celebrates the entire history of this fab foursome, as well as our first glimpse at new art for their return issue.

Fantastic Four #1 (as well as the rest of the new series) will be written by Dan Slott (Amazing Spider-Man, Silver Surfer), with artwork by Sara Pichelli (Spider-Man: Miles Morales) and covers by Esad Ribic (Secret Wars). The trailer starts with the group's origins with Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1961, and takes us all the way through to Ribic's new cover.

Take a look at the trailer here:

It looks like Reed Richard will have a beard, Sue Storm will continue to be by his side, Ben Grimm will keep on lifting (and potentially throwing) huge things, and the Human Torch will not, in fact, be denied a bank loan. He's still, you know, burning bright.

Aside from them, the trailer definitely shows two additional figures in the silhouetted lineup. Are these Reed and Sue's children? If not, then who in the blue spandex are they? They most definitely do not have a "4" on their outfits, but they are holding hands with Reed and Sue.

This most welcome return for one of the most popular teams in the Marvel stable will be released this August, and we can't wait to learn more about what adventures Marvel's first family will go on, and what dangers they might face. Doom (wait, he's a good guy now, right)? Galactus? Howard? All three? Here's hoping.
