Charmed, we're sure... Two new trailers for The CW's reboot of Charmed have been magicked onto the Internet and they both highlight two different aspects of the show: family and witchcraft.
The first trailer, titled "Bond," focuses on the three sisters (played by Madeleine Mantock, Melonie Diaz, and Sarah Jeffery), who discover that they can practice magic after the mysterious death of their mother (Valerie Cruz). Using their combined powers, the siblings must fight against the darkness and "change the course of humanity."
The second trailer, titled "Chant," focuses on the more supernatural aspect of the series, mainly the spellcasting abilities of its main characters. Filled with demons, a Ouija board, and an ominous magical chanting running in the background, this video drives home the point that this won't always be a warm and cozy show about family. You know things are gonna be hardcore when you've got an actual witch in the writers' room.
Watch both trailers below. They're both less than a minute, so there's no excuse not to!
Co-developed by Jennie Snyder Urman (Jane the Virgin), the reboot won't be a rehash of the original series that ran on The WB for eight seasons. Indeed, it'll be a modern update that reflects today's world. While appearing at TCA 2018, producer Amy Rardin let slip that the first episode would include a thinly-veiled indictment of the president, despite not mentioning him by name.
Charmed premieres on The CW Sunday, Oct. 14.
