SPOILER WARNING: Details of last season's Mr. Robot discussed below!

In less than a month, Mr. Robot returns to the USA Network for a much-anticipated third season. Sam Esmail's dark cyber-thriller about a mentally ill hacker, deep corporate conspiracies, and unreliable storytelling has become one of the most acclaimed and talked-about dramas on cable. Its profile was boosted even further in the last 18 months or so by a string of high-profile accolades, including Golden Globe and Emmy wins for lead actor Rami Malek, a Golden Globe for best drama series, and a prestigious Peabody Award.

Now Mr. Robot's back, and things are murkier than ever. We still don't have a resolution to last season's cliffhanger in which Elliot (Malek) was shot by Tyrell (Martin Wallstrom), but the bigger question there might be what role Angela (Portia Doubleday) has to play in that particular bit of drama. Plus the attack on E-Corp continues, we can expect Whiterose (B.D. Wong, upgraded to series regular this year) and the Dark Army to have a larger role, and Darlene (Carly Chaikin) is still in the clutches of Dom (Grace Gummer), who wants more information about Elliot. Check out the Season 3 trailer below:

Alas, the plot of Season 3 remains murky, but that's nothing new. Mr. Robot is a show where even the things you actually see may not be real, so we'll just have to watch and find out how this all unravels.

What we can reveal to you today, though, are exclusive portraits of some of the season's most vital characters. Check out the new looks at Elliot, Mr. Robot (Christian Slater), Dom, Angela, Darlene, and Whitrose in the gallery below.

Mr. Robot returns Oct. 11 on USA.
