Marvel has two big TV projects lined up in the next few weeks, starting with Netflix’s superhero team-up series The Defenders and Marvel’s Inhumans on ABC.

Let’s start with The Defenders, which premieres this coming Friday on the streaming giant. The street-level miniseries will see Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) face off against Sigourney Weaver’s villainous Alexandra.

The actors were on hand to talk about the stakes of the eight-episode series (with the very existence of New York apparently on the line, no less) as the four wildly different heroes come together for the first time.

As for the Inhumans featurette, we don’t get a whole lot of fresh footage but interviews with executive producer and writer Scott Buck (Iron Fist) and Marvel head of TV Jeph Loeb take us behind-the-scenes of the Royal Family-focused series.

Marvel’s The Defenders arrives on Netflix on Aug. 18, while the upcoming Inhumans series will have a 75-minute IMAX premiere on Sept. 1, before debuting on ABC with an 84-minute premiere with new footage on Sept. 29.
