Are you ready to Purge again? Ahead of the fourth The Purge movie, which hits theaters on July 4, we have the trailer and premiere date for The Purge TV series. Yes, that’s right, we get double the Purge-action this year.

USA's 10-episode event series is set on one Purge night and follows a handful of characters on their journey. For some, it is their first Purge night; for others, they are experienced Purgers. Some have altruistic intentions; others have more selfish intentions. Either way, it will be one hell of a ride.

In case you are new to the franchise, The Purge is set in an America in which all crime – including murder – is legalized for one, 12-hour period per year. The idea behind this is that society gets all their aggression out in one fell swoop, leaving the country virtually crime-free the rest of the year.

The show premieres Tuesday, September 4 at 10 p.m. The premiere and final episodes will simulcast on USA Network and SYFY, while the rest of the episodes will air on USA.

The series is executive produced by franchise creator James DeMonaco, and produced by Blumhouse. The ensemble cast includes Amanda Warren (The Leftovers); Gabriel Chavarria (East Los High); Jessica Garza (Six); Hannah Anderson (X-Men: New Mutants); Colin Woodell (Unfriended: Dark Web); Lili Simmons (Ray Donovan); Fiona Dourif (Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency); and Lee Tergesen (The Americans).
