We’ve got a little less than two months to wait for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug to hit the screens, but in the meanwhile, you can all feast your eyes on these babies.
The brand-new stills come from five cool Empire magazine covers out on the fifth of November in the U.K. and feel like some sort of mini travel guide to a couple of places in Middle-earth taken straight from J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit.
You have Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) brandishing Orcrist, aka “goblin cleaver," amid the giant spider-webs of Mirkwood, Gandalf the Grey (Sir Ian McKellen) and his trusty weathered wooden staff in the foreboding ruins of Dol Guldur, Bard the Bowman (Luke Evans) wielding his bow on the rooftops of Lake Town (always a nice spot to be) and Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) holding Sting in Smaug’s lair in Erebor.
The fifth one reunites all four characters in striking, dramatic pauses for a limited-edition collector cover.
Have a look below, and let us know which is your favorite cover!
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is set to be released on Dec. 13.
