How many times have you watched the new teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens? If you're anything like me, that's a pretty high number, and the images are now permanently seared into your brain -- but in a good way.

But the new trailer wasn't our only look at events on the desert planet Jakku (not Tatooine). During the kickoff of the 2015 Star Wars Celebration with Disney and Lucasfilm in Anaheim yesterday, director J.J. Abrams also flashed a few behind-the-scenes photos on the screen, offering up a closer look at the movie's three main characters - Oscar Isaac's Poe Damron, Daisy Ridley's Rey and John Boyega's Finn -- the new (and non-CGI) droid BB-8, and the process of making movies set in a galaxy far, far away.

Now those images have hit the web. Check them out below and start the eight-month countdown.
