Death is back, and it's more gruesome than ever in the first trailer for Final Destination 5. The victims are new, the kills are more graphic, but the M.O. is the same. When will they learn you can't cheat death?
Judging from the trailer, the story goes a little something like this: A group of people are supposed to die after a bridge collapses during rush-hour traffic. When that doesn't happen, Tony Todd, with his infinite horror wisdom, lets them know they can't escape their fate.
"You're not supposed to be here. You were supposed to die on that bridge. A lucky few survived the disaster, and then one by one death comes to them all." In other words, they're going to get taken out, one way or another.
Cue the gory scenes!
Are we the only ones upset that they show (what looks like) David Koechner's death in this trailer? Maybe they should have left that shot out?
Final Destination 5 opens in theaters on Aug. 12, 2011.
