WARNING: Thala-Siren nipples discussed at length below!
Film featurettes and bonus features have gone behind the scenes, behind the music, and behind the effects, but Nerdist went deep behind the, um, process of the milk-producing Thala-Siren in Rian Johnson's Star Wars: The Last Jedi to show us just how much time and effort went into getting that green milk from creature to bottle.
You may remember the wide-ranging and passionate responses to the Thala-Sirens and their frothy, tasty, pale green milk, and the nipples that so generously supplied Luke Skywalker with a refreshing beverage during his daily chores on Ahch-To. The internet was pendulous with heavy and ever-flowing commentary about what may be the most important mammary glands in a galaxy far, far away.
Nerdist is known for both parody and straight news content, so that, along with the fairly straightforward nature of the first minute or so of the video below, make it track as an actual The Last Jedi featurette. They even made sure to intersperse actual TLJ bonus content for authenticity. After that, things go a little... sideways, and you soon realize you're in the thick of a cheeky April Fool's joke.
Of course, April Fool's content is fully appropriate when you're talking about green-milk-producing intergalactic sea cows. It's also kind of awesome.
And they're right about the long, skinny breast. That's just wrong.
