Casting on the untitled X-Men TV project is going roundly with the addition of another Gotham actress as one of the key female leads.

According to Deadline, Natalie Alyn Lind (Gotham, The Goldbergs) has joined the ever-expanding cast as Lauren, one of the kids at the heart of the story. The character is described as "smart, pretty, popular, organized and already ahead on her college applications, Lauren is the model of a perfect kid."

The actress will star alongside Stephen Moyer (True Blood) as Reed, Lauren's dad and "an ambitious attorney trying to balance the demands of his job at the DA's office with his responsibilities to his family." Jamie Chung (also from Gotham) will play established Marvel Comics mutant Blink, while Sean Teale (Incorporated) will play Marcos Diaz, aka Eclipse, a new mutant character described as a "passionate and strong-willed fighter who sometimes lets his emotions overrule reason." Blair Redford (Satisfaction) also stars as a mutant named Sam, the "strong-headed leader of the underground network."

Written by Matt Nix (Burn Notice), the upcoming series set in the X-Men film universe follows two ordinary parents who discover their kids are mutants. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family eventually joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive. X-Men movie director Bryan Singer will helm the pilot.

Like FX's Legion (guys, this show is soooo good!), the Untitled Fox Marvel Project is a co-production between 20th Century Fox Television and Marvel TV. Matt Nix will write the script and executive produce alongside the X-Men movie team of Bryan Singer, Lauren Shuler Donner and Simon Kinberg and Marvel Head of TV Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory (Daredevil).
