Gotham fans who may have been worried May 17th's season finale was also going to be the series finale can breathe a sigh of relief because Fox has decided to renew Gotham for a fifth season. According to THR, the fifth season will also be the final season and will likely run 13 episodes, which will end Gotham on its 100th episode aka the magic number needed to hit syndication.
The season finale, titled "A Dark Knight: No Man's Land", fits neatly with Fox's announcement that the fifth season will finally see Bruce Wayne transform into Batman. But questions still remain. Will Jeremiah finally take on the mantle of The Joker? What will happen between Bruce and Selina? Will we also see the rise of both The Penguin and The Riddler? And how does Lee fit into all of this?
That's a lot of questions to answer in 13 episodes, but that's 13 more episodes than we thought Gotham had just hours ago, which is always a good thing.
