Fox will be adding another comic book property to its TV roster. After Gotham and Lucifer, Fox has given the green light to a script commitment (plus penalty) to Snow Blind, hailing from SYFY’s Dominion creator/showrunner Vaun Wilmott (Prison Break), Boom! Studios, and 20th Century Fox.

Based on the graphic novel by Ollie Masters (Sensation Comics featuring Wonder Woman, The Kitchen) and Tyler Jenkins (Grass Kings) and written by Wilmott, Deadline reports the one-hour drama follows small Alaskan town sheriff Billy Bowden who “struggles to keep his past life of crime and his placement in witness protection hidden from his friends and family” after a local story about him goes viral. Oops. That’s a bit of a problem.

Boom! also has several other comic book titles in the works for the small screen including Hacktivist at The CW with Grant Thompson and Alyssa Milano, and The Woods with San Andreas helmer Brad Peyton and Michael Armbruster at SYFY.

On the big screen The Empty Man is in post-production for Fox, Mouse Guard is being developed with director Wes Ball (The Maze Runner), Rogue One writer Gary Whitta on writing duties, and Matt Reeves (War for the Planet of the Apes) producing. James Wan’s Malignant Man is also getting the big screen treatment as Malignant with Rebecca Thomas (Stranger Things) in the director's chair; as well as Irredeemable, with Ant-Man screenwriter Adam McKay directing from a script by Tommy Wirkola (What Happened to Monday).

Whew! That’s what I call a busy slate for Boom! Studios. Many of those titles are pretty intriguing — namely The Woods, Irredeemable and Malignant — and you can read all about them by clicking on the links above. What do you think of Snow Blind being adapted as a TV series by Vaun Wilmott on Fox?
