One of the many cool surprises in James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was exactly who Sylvester Stallone and Michael Rosenbaum were playing and how it fits into the framework of the space fantasy plot.

We previously revealed that Stallone would play legendary Ravager and original Guardians of the Galaxy member Stakar Ogord, aka Starhawk, but Rosenbaum's character remained mostly in the dark. Now we know that an unrecognizable Rosenbaum plays Stakar's right-hand man, the crystalline crusader, Martinex, in a nod to Dan Abnett's Guardians 3000 comic series.

Here's a new clip featuring Starhawk and Michael Rooker's Yondu Udonta and demonstrating the conflict and betrayal that gained Yondu his outcast status. I loved Stallone's gruff, battle-scarred Starhawk and hope he's showcased much more in Guardians of the Galaxy 3!!
