Director Sam Raimi is already rebooting his own iconic horror series with Evil Dead, but now he's tackling someone else's long-dormant franchise. So, which horror classic is Raimi bringing back to life?
Raimi has signed on to help reboot the creepy 1982 classic Poltergeist, though he will not direct it himself. Nathan Kahane, Roy Lee and Robert Tapert are also involved, and the script is being written by David Lindsay-Abaire (Oz: The Great and Powerful).
The story, just like the original, will focus on a family building a house on a holy site, which causes their young daughter to be possessed and controlled by ghosts.
Raimi will reportedly jump into Poltergeist as soon as he wraps up his new Evil Dead reboot.
What do you think? Are you looking forward to a new Poltergeist?
