Guillermo del Toro’s Trollhunters isn’t just an award-winning animated Netflix series. It’s about to become the first of three related shows, known as "Tales of Arcadia": 3Below, about aliens, will land in 2018; and Wizards, about, ya know, wizards, will appear in 2019.

According to Entertainment Weekly, a Troll-verse was del Toro’s plan all along: “In the early season of Trollhunters, we already introduced characters you don’t know how important they are for the [other] two series, that have been in the planning for years. Wizards tracks down the whole backstory of Trollhunters and much, much more and brings all of this group [of shows] to a conclusion.”

This suggests characters like NotEnrique and Claire Nunez may be making appearances in future shows.

3Below will follow three aliens — a prince, a princess, and their bodyguard—who flee the takeover of their planet by an evil dictator. They land in Arcadia and try to live their lives while avoiding bounty hunters. Wizards will add more magic into the mix and tie the three shows together.

Check out the teaser, below, that lays it out for us. As Eli Pepperjack tells Toby Domzalski, there aren’t just trolls living beneath the streets of Arcadia. There are wizards and aliens, too. “It will rock your world,” Eli insists.

A del Toro-created multiverse that can be enjoyed by children and their parents? It certainly does.
