Have you ever wondered what would happen if you tried to turn a BFG into a laser gun? Well, wonder no more.
Hobbyist Drake Anthony enjoys creating laser “weapons” and was last seen wielding a homemade laser shotgun. For his next project, he’s aimed a bit higher. Where his laser shotgun topped out at 40 watts, Anthony’s much bigger laser gun can hit 200 watts, so he’s understandably named it his laser bazooka. After seeing this thing light up a room, it’s hard to argue.
The bazooka packs enough punch to burn wood with a concentrated shot, pop balloons and ignite gunpowder. Anthony built it from scrap metal, several broken DLP projectors and a hefty stack of lithium polymer batteries. It consumes nearly 1KW of power, which is approximately what it takes to power a microwave oven.
