This guy made a real-life lightsaber, and it's about as dangerously cool as you'd imagine

Have you ever looked at a lightsaber and thought, “Man, I should make me one of those?” Many have—using glass tubes and soundboards. But so far, only one person who has made a lightsaber that could genuinely dismember a limb and cauterize the wound at the same time.

That person is YouTuber Sufficiently Advanced; you may remember him as the man who recently dazzled us with a real-life Mjolnir that only he could lift. He eschewed glass tubes (and Kyber crystals) to make a saber with methanol and acetone, using butane propellant.

If you’re thinking, “Holy &^$#, that’s incredibly dangerous,” even Sufficiently Advanced agrees. In the video, below, he said, “This is so scary. I’m getting used to it, though.”

He gets used to it enough to use his lightsaber against balloons with faces of stormtroopers and a picture of Jar Jar Binks: in other words, Sufficiently Advanced is using his powers for good.

But he also lights a cigarette off his saber. Cigarettes are evil, dude. Unclear, his path is.
