Guy makes Pacific Rim-style exoskeleton out of LEGOs in his bedroom

Sure, we already have exoskeleton tech that can mimic the concepts we’ve seen in movies like Pacific Rim — but have you ever seen a guy pull off that technical feat with LEGOs and a cellphone in his bedroom?

With an Android phone, LEGO Mindstorm and some elbow grease, Danny Benedettelli put together his own tiny version of a Jaeger, which he can control by moving his own body. The lo-fi look really just sells this thing, and it seems to be hacked together in the best way possible. Now all he needs is an adorable, tiny Kaiju to slug it out with on his desk. 

It’s nice to know that when the itty-bitty monsters do come, men like Benedettelli will be there to answer the call. Check out his exoskeleton in action below and let us know what you think:
