Alden Ehrenreich describes Han and Chewie as "an old married couple," and if this new featurette is any indication, he's 100% right in the best way possible.
With Solo: A Star Wars Story hyperspacing into theaters today, Lucasfilm has released a new featurette titled “Scoundrels,” which does indeed introduce us to a few who were part of Han’s journey from a kid on Corellia to becoming the legendary Han Solo. We all know Han from the original trilogy (as portrayed by Harrison Ford), but Solo goes back to a time before he was the cocksure scoundrel we all know and love.
In the behind-the-scenes clip above, Ehrenreich, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, and Woody Harrelson dive into how each of their characters fit into all of this. We learn Han’s always wanted to be part of the outlaw world, but how did he make that leap? He had help along the way, sure, and learned a few lessons that have definitely stuck with him. Whether it’s the smooth-talking Lando (Glover), the mysterious Qi’ra (Clarke), or his “mentor” Beckett (Harrelson), everyone Han meets teaches him something.
Not that we get all the answers. After all, there are so many. How does Qi’ra fit into all of this? What’s Beckett’s real plan? How did Lando and Han meet? Just what was the “stunt” Lando pretended to be mad about when Han landed on Bespin? And, of course, what does Alden mean about Chewie and Han being like "an old married couple"?
Watch the video above to find out, then let us know if you'll be heading to a galaxy far, far away this weekend to catch Solo!
