Harlan Ellison is not looking for a job writing the next Star Trek movie, nor has such a job been offered to him. We know this because Harlan called us to set the record straight after he heard about our story "Harlan Ellison wants J. J. Abrams to hire him for Trek 2!"

Harlan wants us and you to know that any and all talk about the possibility of him working on the film is just idle musing, and nothing else should be read into it. Got it? He also wanted us to "kill our brash correspondent" who wrote the story, but we thought that was a bit extreme. We countered with an offer to run the story you see before you, and all's well that ends well.

Harlan would also like to remind you to please tip your waitress.
