Are you already stressing about Thanksgiving with your relatives? You know, you could always stay home and play video games instead. It’s far better for your sanity anyway. We know you want to stay up to date so you can have accurate excuses.

From the release of Spyro Reignited Trilogy to the new trailer for Harry Potter Wizards Unite (which might actually give you an excuse for next year’s holidays), here is all the Gamegrrl news for the week ending November 17.

This week we have a trailer for the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man DLC entitled Turf Wars. The DLC comes out on November 20, so you can definitely choose to play that instead of traveling seven hours to be asked about why your career isn’t progressing fast enough. Here is all the info on Marvel’s Spider-Man: Turf Wars: “Spider-Man must put an end to the turf war erupting between the Maggia crime family and gang leader Hammerhead before Marvel’s New York becomes its greatest casualty.” Hammerhead was rumored to be the main villain and now we know who we’re facing off against. Sadly, we lost Spider-Man creator Stan Lee this week as well. Rest in peace, Generalissimo.

Fans of torching sheep and feeding butterflies to your pets, listen up! The little purple dragon is back in Spyro Reignited Trilogy. The game was released this week and features a complete remastering of Spyro the Dragon, Sypro 2: Ripto’s Rage!, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. We’ve been playing and it’s a total blast. (Stay tuned for our review of the game.) It’s the Spyro you imagined you had back when you were a kid. Plus, cooking bad guys is so very satisfying. It’s available now for Xbox One and PS4.

command and conquer

EA announced this week that it will remaster Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn and Command & Conquer: Red Alert. We’ll also get the classic expansion packs Covert Ops, Counterstrike, and Aftermath. The company will partner with Petroglyph Games and Lemon Sky Studios. You can read their entire letter to Command & Conquer fans on their site. There is no word yet on a release date.

The Game Awards nominations were announced this week. You can check out the entire list here, but the big ones were Sony Santa Monica’s God of War game that takes Kratos out of Greece and Red Dead Redemption 2 from Rockstar Games. Oh, you’re taking a break from that right now to read this? We’ll make it quick. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Marvel’s Spider-Man got a ton of nominations as well.

Bethesda Softworks on YouTube

Fallout 76 was released this week and fans are already cracking codes. Here’s all the info for the game: “From the forests of Appalachia to the noxious crimson expanses of the Cranberry Bog, each one of the six distinct West Virginia regions offers its own risks and rewards. Post-nuclear America has never looked so beautiful!”

A new trailer for Harry Potter: Wizards Unite was released this week from Niantic and WB Games. Wizards Unite from the same people that brought you Pokemon Go, so you know the AR game is going to take over your life. It will be released in 2019, and you can see the logo for the game in the trailer. You might recognize those wants as those of three plucky young wizards and witches that you met in a book series. Prepare to call in sick from work a lot next year.

Darksiders III - Fury’s Apocalypse has a trailer out for us as well. Is anyone else digging for pennies in the couch cushions? There are a lot of amazing things on the way! Darksiders III is set for release on November 27 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One! A pre-order campaign for special discounts and early access to exclusive content was designed to reward a fanbase, who are eagerly awaiting to once again smash demons to pieces. You can check that out right here

One more trailer for you this week, in case there weren’t enough! We have a new one for the upcoming game Just Cause 4. (Check out our hands-on preview right here.) You can see a lot of what’s coming in the physics sandbox that is Just Cause 4 in the new deep dive trailer. Rico is heading down to the fictional South American country of Solis where he’ll be pitted against the Black Hand, learn about his father and take on the villain Gabrielle. The latest sequel in the franchise will be released for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on December 4.

So, which games are you most excited for? Let us know in the comments.
