While we knew that Doctor Who companions Amy (Karen Gillan) and Rory (Arthur Darvill) were leaving the Time Lord sometime during the show's upcoming seventh season, it now seems that we may have to say bye-bye to the Ponds earlier than we'd thought.
Karen Gillan may have (somewhat) spilled the beans on the approximate time when the married couple—well, actually Amy—will depart from the TARDIS (and may even possibly die).
While on an American press tour for her new TV movie We'll Take Manhattan, the beautiful Scottish actress sounded off on her time, and departure, as the Doctor's (Matt Smith) companion Amy Pond on Doctor Who:
"I feel sad, because I am gonna leave, but with any story, it has to come to an end. It was a mutual decision with me and [Doctor Who showrunner] Steven Moffat. We had this lovely dinner and decided when the best time for me to go was, and it's been decided. So I'm excited and slightly scared."
When asked how many episodes Gillan would be in, the actress replied: "There's going to be a few episodes. A few really good episodes."
So does this actually mean that we're gonna see Amy (and by extension also Rory) depart sooner rather than later? Maybe. Possibly. What do you think?
