Helix climbs, Star-Crossed premieres low + 48 other genre shows

A new show joined our ranks this week, but, unfortunately, its premiere numbers might mean it won't be around very long.

The CW's series premiere of Star-Crossed entered a busy Monday lineup that also included the Olympics and put up very low numbers, particularly in its key demo score, which could mean it's dead on arrival. Meanwhile, Helix gained momentum on Syfy, The Walking Dead kept dominating, and Being Human fans got some bad news.

Check out the numbers and commentary below to see how your favorite shows are doing in Live + Same Day ratings.

MONDAY, February 17

Beauty and the Beast (CW) 0.77 million viewers/0.3/1 share

Beauty and the Beast gained a few viewers but maintained its low demo score. It's looking more and more like this one will say goodbye.

Almost Human (FOX) - 5.35 million viewers/1.7/5 share

Almost Human lost a few viewers but picked up a bit in its demo score. There may be hope for this show's renewal after all.

Teen Wolf (MTV) 2.12 million viewers/0.9

Teen Wolf picked up a few viewers and held its demo score for a solid week.

Lost Girl (Syfy) 0.69 million viewers/0.2

Lost Girl picked up viewers but held its relatively low demo score. We'll see if it does better in the second half of the season.

Being Human (Syfy) 1.16 million viewers/0.6

Being Human lost a few viewers but picked up a nice demo score boost this week. Unfortunately, we also now know that this season of the show will be its last, so enjoy it while you can.

Bitten (Syfy) 0.82 million viewers/0.3

Bitten picked up a few viewers but held its demo score for the fourth straight week. This may just be where we can expect this show to stay for the duration of the season.

Intelligence (CBS) 5.85 million viewers/1.2/3 share

Intelligence took a drop across the board this week. It didn't hit its all-time low, but it was close enough. Things are starting to look bleak here.

Archer (FX) -- OFF

The Following (FOX) 5.19 million viewers/1.7/4 share

The Following got a boost to its viewers and held its demo score to again win its timeslot.

Star-Crossed (CW) 1.28 million viewers/0.4/1 share

Star-Crossed premiered this week to less-than-impressive numbers, particularly in the key demo score. Young viewers are important for every network, but especially so at The CW, and given that the network's anchor shows (Supernatural, Arrow and The Vampire Diaries) can pull an 0.9 even on a bad week, the 0.4 Star-Crossed brought in makes things look particularly grim right from the start. We'll see if DVR numbers and/or word of mouth can give it a boost, though.
