Led Zepplin's rock classic "Immigrant Song" has been part of the world's musical culture for close to 40 years now and, in all that time, there's likely never been a clash of Titans like we're seeing today over the very usage of the song.
Actor Jack Black, who famously sang the rock anthem in his film School of Rock has officially called out Thor: Ragnarock's Chris Hemsworth for not just using the song but clearly stealing Black's thunder.
This all started roughly four days ago when Black took to Instagram to lay down the gauntlet and challenge Thor to a "Battle Of The Jams".
Well, it's taken four days, but Chris Hemsworth has answered the challenge and, while he may not know what sort of "jam" Black is talking about, he's ready to take on the original Immigrant Singer wherever. "My place or yours, baby. I'm in".
It should be noted that Cate Blanchett, goddess that she is, has already taken on Black while they were working on the set of their new film The House With A Clock In Its Walls. It looks like director Eli Roth was a casualty. We hope he recovers from that shot to the face soon.
Given the way things are shaping up, this battle is only beginning. Grab the popcorn.
