In only one season, The Magicians has given us a fantasy series that’s dark, engaging, at times funny, with a cliffhanger that screamed, “Things are looking tough for our heroes.” But fear not. We have a clip from the upcoming Season 2 that proves not all is lost to Quentin and friends.

Except that Quentin is lost.

At the end of Season 1, our heroes went up against the Beast—ya know, the one Quentin had summoned. They failed, leaving them in various states of hurt. In fact, we don't know for certain if they survived. All except Julia, who left for Earth with said Beast.

Here, in our first clip, we get the first scene of Season 2. Quentin is wandering a forest, lost. But he soon comes across a quaint wooden house, home to a sharp-tongued “gardening enthusiast.” (“Were you dropped on your head as a child? Your blood, dumb-dumb.”) And with that, I'm hoping she becomes a major character.

In the second clip, we get a look at the sets and props of The Magicians, with some familiar and new locations.

Check them out. And let us know in the comments if you think The Magicians will start Season 2 with a Game-of-Thrones-like body count.
