Here's how fans can light the Empire State Building TARDIS blue for Who 50th

The BBC may already have some ideas in mind, but here's a notion some Who fans are trying to get off the ground that we think is worthwhile.

If you live in New York City (or even if you don't), you might be aware that, at night, the Empire State Building is lit up in different colors. Often times, specific colors are used to celebrate or honor something.

Well, Doctor Who reaching its 50th Anniversary is something worth both celebrating and honoring. With that in mind, New York SciFi & Fantasy decided they would start up a petition and work with the reps for the Empire State Building to light the skyscraper up a dark and sexy TARDIS blue for Who's 50th birthday.

In under 24 hours, the petition has already exceeded 3,000 of the 5,000 signatures it is hoping to achieve. We think reaching that goal should be easy and, frankly, the more signatures the better in such matters.

The Doctor has been to NYC a few times before. Let's get him here, figuratively, one more time.
