Wanna have your first look at Bill Paxton as a badass agent from Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.?
Former Aliens, Titanic and Big Love actor Bill Paxton will begin an at least four-episode arc on the ABC series starting in late February or early March.
Executive producer Jed Whedon said: “We wanted to bring in a rough-and-tumble former cohort of Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) with a little bit of attitude and cigar-smoking swagger.”
Paxton will play Agent John Garrett, who'll work alongside Brett Dalton’s Agent Ward and Ming-Na Wen’s Agent May.
Have a look at Paxton's badass-looking Agent Garrett:
Executive producer Maurissa Tancharoen says that Agent John Garrett “comes into the fold in a very surprising way. He is the type who wants to stay out in the field no matter how high-level he gets.”
Garrett was turned into a cyborg in order to save his life after he was injured in the line of duty in the comic Elektra: Assassin. Will that be the case on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.? Whedon refused to confirm this but said, “When Garrett got his promotion to Level 7, he refused to sit behind a desk and doesn't like the formalities of S.H.I.E.L.D. He's going to help Coulson solve some mysteries and is not afraid to rig an explosive or two.”
How do you like Bill Paxton's look as Agent Garrett? Do you think that Garrett's cyborg status in the comics will have something to do with the not-as-yet-fully-explained mystery of what happened to Coulson?
