Earlier this week, we learned that there will be a new iteration of the deadly Xenomorph in legendary director Ridley Scott’s upcoming Prometheus sequel/Alien prequel called a Neomorph.
The exciting news was let slip by Michael Fassbender during a radio interview with BBC Radio 2’s Mark Goodier earlier this week, and a rumored detailed description of the new Aliens emerged (you can read all about it here). So it was with a certain level of anticipation that I was awaiting my first peek at Alien: Covenant’s Neomorphs.
And boy, it didn’t take long, because thanks to the good folks at So Is It Any Good, we have our first spoilery look at the movie’s new Alien eggs, a new variation of the facehuggers and chestbursters as well as said new Neomorphs. Also: the Engineer!
“Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the ‘synthetic’ David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.”
Opening on Aug. 4, 2017, Alien: Covenant stars Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Jussie Smolett, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo, Callie Hernandez and Billy Crudup, with Noomi Rapace returning as Elizabeth Shaw. Check out the images below, and let us know what you think of these new designs.
