If you guys didn’t know it yet, Sam Raimi’s (Evil Dead, Spider-Man) looking to bring Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us videogame to the big screen -- and he’s revealed the name of the Game of Thrones actress they are eyeing to play the female lead.

The news was revealed earlier today by Raimi and Neil Druckmann -- Naughty Dog’s Creative Director and the guy who’ll also pen the script -- during today’s Screen Gems San Diego Comic-Con panel.

Druckmann revealed that they had met with Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark on the hit HBO series, for the role of Ellie (whose likeness was ripped off actress Ellen Page) in the upcoming flick.

The Last of Us follows two survivors -- Joel and young but capable Ellie -- on a journey 20 years after an infectious pandemic, spread by the cordyceps virus, has ravaged humanity. These two unlikely people are joined together by fate and must strive to survive by making life-changings decisions.

They’ve also released this special SDCC limited-edition poster for the film!

Do you guys think Maisie Williams is the right actress for the role of Ellie?
