Here's what Twitter had to say about the all-new Charmed reboot

After a special sneak peek at New York Comic Con this year, the all-new Charmed reboot premiered tonight on The CW.

Like the original series, Charmed focuses on three sisters (Madeleine Mantock, Melonie Diaz, and Sarah Jeffery) who are forced to reckon with the reality of their powers. In the reboot, things get a little bit of a darker beginning, as the catalyst of the sisters' powers happens as a result of the mysterious death of their mother (Valerie Cruz).

Once the premiere kicked off, Twitter was out in force to let everyone know their thoughts. Heads up, there will be some spoilers for the first episode, so turn back now if you haven't seen it and want to go in fresh.

First, viewers were struck at how much the reboot is its own thing, instead of just being a retread of the original series.

Others appreciated the spirit of sisterhood among its three lead characters.

Of course, it didn't take long before the sisters' new powers were noticed by the forces of darkness.

The night's biggest reaction was the reveal of a villain at the end, who bore a distinct resemblance to another fantasy show Big Bad that you may be familiar with.

And it wouldn't be a big premiere without a last-minute reveal at the end to keep viewers coming back next week.

That's it for the premiere. Did you have any thoughts about the new take on Charmed? Let us know in the comments.
