Ready for more zombie zaniness of AMC's Fear the Walking Dead? The network finally announced a premiere date for the fourth season of the Walking Dead prequel at TCA today. Fear the Walking Dead will return on Sunday, April 15, at 10 p.m. ET and bridge the two post-apocalyptic shows together with the crossover of Lennie James' Morgan Jones.
AMC's description of Season 4 is as follows:
"In season four of Fear the Walking Dead, we will see the world of Madison Clark (Kim Dickens) and her family through new eyes -- the eyes of Morgan Jones (Lennie James), joining the story from the world of The Walking Dead. The characters’ immediate past mixes with an uncertain present of struggle and discovery as they meet new friends, foes and threats. They fight for each other, against each other and against a legion of the dead to somehow build an existence against the crushing pressure of lives coming apart. There will be darkness and light; terror and grace; the heroic, mercenary, and craven, all crashing together towards a new reality for Fear the Walking Dead."
In addition to this show, AMC's martial arts drama Into the Badlands will return for Season 3 on Sunday, April 22, at 10 p.m. ET, while AMC Visionaries: James Cameron's Story of Fiction premieres on Monday, April 30, at 10 p.m. ET. The six-part docuseries will examine science fiction's roots and immense influence on pop culture, featuring interviews with Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Ridley Scott, Christopher Nolan, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Will Smith, and Sigourney Weaver.
AMC Visionaries is the network's ongoing title for in-depth explorations of various genres by the artists who helped define them. Robert Kirkman’s Secret History of Comics already aired this year, and Eli Roth’s History of Horror is currently in the works.
