Marvel Studios released an epic "class photo" of the MCU yesterday, which included all the actors and directors who have brought this world together over the last 10 years.
Well, almost everyone. Noticeably missing from the group of A-list actors and filmmakers was Clark Gregg, aka Agent Phil Coulson from Iron Man 2, Thor, The Avengers, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Gregg's character played an integral part in the formation of the Avengers in 2012 before his (apparent) death at the hands of Loki (Tom Hiddleston).
So where was he? According to the actor, he was invited to the photo shoot but wasn't able to make it as he was repping ABC's S.H.I.E.L.D. at New York Comic Con, which means the picture has existed since October. "So sad I couldn’t make this shoot. Honored to be part of MCU. I was proudly repping #agentsofSHIELD at #MadisonSquareGarden for @NY_Comic_Con @Marvel," he wrote in a Twitter post yesterday.
Gregg had participated in a special Q&A panel celebrating S.H.I.E.L.D.'s fifth season with the entire cast and head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb. Season 5 returns for its second half on March 2 with the show's 99th episode, "All the Comforts of Home."
