Here's why Stephen Amell wants a crossover between Arrow and Constantine (and Supergirl)

While at Dallas Comic Con’s Fan Days last weekend, Arrow star Stephen Amell expressed some interest in having a crossover with NBC’s Constantine and CBS’ upcoming Supergirl series. He also confirmed that more DC Comics characters would make their way to Starling City on the CW show, and talked the difficulties of doing crossovers — especially with Fox’s Gotham — when those comic-book-based series are on different networks.

While Supergirl is being developed by Arrow producers who have already hinted at possible crossovers with the CW’s Arrow and The Flash, the possibility of doing a crossover with Constantine is currently wibbly-wobbly because NBC hasn’t renewed the show yet and might be looking for a new home for it. Still, here’s why Amell would love to see a crossover between Arrow and Constantine:

“It would be interesting. I was saying this earlier. It would be interesting to cross over with [demon hunter] Constantine, only because he knows a lot about the Lazarus Pit, which is something that we've introduced in the show this year.”

As for a crossing paths with the Man of Steel's cousin Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, the actor who portrays Oliver Queen said it’d definitely be cool, while a crossover with Gotham would be hard to do because of the oh-so-little fact that the show takes place in a different time (Gotham takes place pre-Dark Knight days) than Arrow, let alone a different network. Here’s what Amell told the assembled audience:

“It would be cool to crossover with Supergirl because it's something with Greg Berlanti, who's the helmer and sort of the brain trust or the center of the brain trust of Arrow and The Flash and I know so many of the people that are involved in the production of that show so that would be really interesting. And Gotham would be a tough one, just because I think they're out in a different time but the crossover with The Flash was so much fun and did so well that I can't imagine a world -- a universe, no pun intended -- where that didn't happen and continue to happen all the time.”

What do you guys think? Would you love to see Green Arrow cross paths with Supergirl and John Constantine (provided the show survives) in future?
