The Doctor's not-quite costume, Clara in her Victorian best, and a small update from the Moff himself.

As we inch slowly closer to the premiere of the Doctor's eighth series and the proper debut of Peter Capaldi, there are many things you could do. You could, for instance, go read the scripts for the first five episodes, apparently. You could ... but where's the fun in that? You can't speculate when you already know!

So, instead, I offer this first official image from "Deep Breath."

Not only do the Doctor and Clara look as though they are, in fact, taking a deep breath, but it seems like ... the Doctor has something caught between his teeth? Who knows?

Meanwhile, Moffat's talking new Doctors and how important first episodes are:

It’s a big introduction -- he’s the new Doctor. There’s no point pretending that it’s not the most interesting, dynamic thing that you’ve got to sell in that first episode. It’s going to be about ‘What’s he like? How’s he different?’ I suppose it feels a bit like a character piece, but there’s plenty of action and nonsense and jeopardy, as there ever is in Doctor Who.

And one more thing: In addition to the beginning of the season, Moffat also teased the end (which will feature the Cybermen) saying that, by the end of this series, fans will be feeling "like they want Doctor Who to come back very, very quickly."

Make of that what you will.
