Being a time-traveling Time Lord on Doctor Who can get you anyplace anytime, but it's a well-known fact that sometimes the Doctor gets his landing coordinates—and time period—a bit wrong, a fact that BBC America used in a funny promo filmed by Matt Smith and Karen Gillan.
Season six is only a few months away (spring 2011), and if this and the first trailer we already showed you are anything to go on, it should be fantastic.
Don't just take our word for it, though—check out the new promo!
A few other examples of the Doctor getting his landing coordinates wrong?
In "Tooth and Claw," the Doctor wanted to go Sheffield in 1979 to see an Ian Dury concert with Rose but ended up in the Scottish moors in 1879 and met Queen Victoria.
In "The Idiot's Lantern," the Doctor wanted to take Rose see an Elvis Presley concert in New York city but landed the TARDIS by mistake on the day before the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.
And in "The Fires of Pompeii," the Doctor thinks he's taken Donna Noble to first-century Rome when in fact he brought them to Pompeii, on the day of the infamous A.D. 79 eruption of Mount Vesuvius.
The more Who changes, the more it stays the same.
