Hobbits ready for take-off in hilarious (real) airline safety vid

Can we all agree that those safety videos at the beginning of a flight are coma-inducingly dull? We get it: Put on your oxygen mask, head between the knees, and prepare to die. BORING! Give us something fun to watch like, say ... hobbits!

By gum if that isn't precisely what Air New Zealand has done. And why not? After all, they are the official airline of Middle-earth. With the aid of Weta Workship (who are responsible for the special effects for both The Hobbit and the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy), ANZ has released An Unexpected Briefing, which is the first ever preflight video that a human being will actually enjoy.
