New details have bubbled up about the upcoming Hocus Pocus sequel, which will arrive in the form of a young adult novel this summer, entitled Hocus Pocus and the All-New Sequel. The book will comprise two parts, the first re-telling the plot of the original film from 25 years ago, and the second will forge ahead with a brand-new story.

The Oh My Disney blog gave us the lowdown on the next generation of Salem teenagers to enter this universe. First up is Poppy Dennison, the daughter of Maximilian "Max" Dennison and Allison, who were played by Omri Katz and Vinessa Shaw, respectively, in the movie. According to Poppy's official description, she's a bit skeptical about her parents' story on their encounter with three witches nearly three decades ago.

Next up is Travis Reese, Poppy's best friend and a non-believer in supernatural entities like ghosts and witches. Finally, there's Isabella Richards, the most popular girl at Jacob Bailey High with an impressive report card and list of extracurricular activities.

The original Hocus Pocus, released in 1993, focused on a group of kids attempting to stop three witch sisters (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy), who have been resurrected in Salem, Massachusetts, after 300 years. Despite not being either a commercial or critical success when it opened, the film has become a cult classic among kids who grew up watching it on TV every year. Disney is currently in the process of remaking the project, but original star Bette Midler doesn't appear too happy about it.

Hocus Pocus and the All-New Sequel hits bookshelves July 10.
