One of today's most delightfully charismatic actors was just rewarded with immortality -- at least in the form of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Today, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom star Jeff Goldblum became the 2,638th actor to receive such an honor, and he celebrated in the most appropriate Goldblum-y way.

After learning that today was, in fact, Jeff Goldblum Day, the actor lamented there were only 12 hours and 10 minutes left to celebrate. Naturally, he invited the crowd for a martini before a "clothing optional" pool party at his house.

Closing out his acceptance speech, Goldblum read a quote from playwright and polemicist George Bernard Shaw. Then, he got a chance to flex his increasingly-famous vocal chops by launching into a spirited, lyrically-charged rendition of the Jurassic Park theme song.

The effortlessly meme-spawning actor has been a Hollywood mainstay since his debut role as "Freak #1" in 1974's Death Wish, and has become increasingly notorious for his distinctly endearing personality in the years since.

Back in 1993, he became synonymous with the black-clad scientist Ian Malcolm in the Jurassic Park franchise -- a role he's (finally!) set to saucily revive in the upcoming sequel, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. He'll also be lending his voice to the video game tie-in Jurassic World Evolution.

Goldblum also joined the ever-expanding MCU last year as cosmic being The Grandmaster. He first appeared while dancing his way through the credits of 2017's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 before bestowing the role with all his Goldblum-ing glory in Thor: Ragnarok last fall. He's currently hoping to expand the part with a spin-off film with Benicio Del Toro's the Collector, and there's no reason on Earth that shouldn't become a reality.

All of this news likely comes to the delight of Goldblum fans everywhere. While the star itself is only a few hours old, it's almost certain that it will become a tourist destination for years to come. Congratulations, Mr. Goldblum. You've earned it.
