It's been 24 years since the crew members of the USS Enterprise-D last traversed the final frontier that is outer space, but a good chunk of them recently got together for dinner, as if their exploratory Federation mission ended only yesterday.
Star Trek: The Next Generation cast member Marina Sirtis (Commander Deanna Troi) tweeted a photo of herself, Patrick Stewart (Captain Jean-Luc Picard), Gates McFadden (Beverly Crusher), LeVar Burton (Lt Commander Geordi La Forge), Brent Spiner (Mr. Data), and Michael Dorn (Worf).
"The gang’s all here. Well most of them anyway. #friendship #TNG," wrote Sirtis in her caption.
If only they'd invited Jonathan Frakes (William Riker), Diana Muldaur (Katherine Pulaski), Denise Crosby (Tasha Yar), and Wil Wheaton (Wesley Crusher), they'd have had the full crew present and accounted for.
Recently, Stewart confirmed that he would be reprising his iconic role of Picard in a CBS All Access series that will explore the character's life after Star Trek: TNG. Naturally, the Internet lost its collective mind and was overjoyed by Picard's return to television, while also a little relieved that Stewart's name on Twitter's trending list didn't mean he had died.
