Season 2 of Stranger Things can't come fast enough. I'm not sure if knowing a few details makes the wait easier or more difficult, but here's one for you: Hopper's daughter will play a major role in Season 2.
The plot point was a minor one in the first season -- more of a "this is why he is so dark" kind of thing. Police Chief Hopper's daughter died of cancer some years before the show's beginning. There has been some speculation that she may have been involved with whatever Eleven was mixed up in. Maybe Season 2 will answer some of that speculation.
Actor David Harbour, who plays Hopper, offered this non-explanation to TV Guide: "Hopper's daughter will be the primary focus of Season 2, but not in the way that you think it will be. Hopper's understanding of that relationship and Hopper's understanding of being a father and of being a man grows deeper and deeper in Season 2, and we get a lot of time to explore what that is, but it won't be in the literal way that you think it is. I don't want to tell you any more than that because it's good stuff."
Okay, that just makes the wait more difficult.
Stranger Things Season 2 premieres on Netflix Oct. 27.
