Director Bryan Singer is bringing together the new and old X-Men casts for Days of Future Past, but it sounds like Halle Berry’s recent pregnancy will have some impact on Storm’s role in the sequel.

Berry is expecting her second child with fiance Olivier Martinez, and with filming ramping up on the new X-Men film, many fans wondered if she might have to drop out. No worries: Berry says Storm is definitely a part of the story, just maybe not as Singer had originally planned.

According to Berry, we’ll have to settle for a less “badass” version of Storm, because she won’t be able to partake in any wild stunts or fights. But Berry says she’s still a major part of the story.

She told the BBC:

"Storm probably won't be as badass as she was going to be because we won't be able to do any fighting or flying or things like that. She'll be different than we originally planned her to be but I still think she'll be an integral part of this new X-Men movie."

With so many actors coming in for this film, it’s probably no major loss to have Berry take on a slightly reduced role. This flick will have a lot of balls in the air anyway, and this frees up some screen time for the rest of the young (and old) gang.

What do you expect from Berry in Days of Future Past?
