How to make a (decent-looking) stormtrooper helmet out of milk jugs

Wanna become a stormtrooper without spending hundreds on top-of-the-line replica armor?

Crafty blogger Lindsey, who spends a lot of time turning trash into treasure over at Filth Wizardry, came up with this low-budget stormtrooper costume idea a while back when her daughters got really into Star Wars. It starts with two gallon-sized milk jugs and a little clever carving until you've got three distinct pieces that will form the basic shape of the helmet. From there, a little hot glue binds the pieces together, and then a clever paint job finishes things off. Using very few tools and her own crafty brilliance, Lindsey managed to turn this:
