With precious little news coming out of the supposed Australian production of George Lucas' upcoming live-action Star Wars TV show, we'll take this: An interview with Oz actress Rose Byrne on Movieline.
She played Dormé, one of Amidala's handmaidens, in Star Wars: Episode II—Attack of the Clones. She's not in the new TV show—yet—but seems to know someone who's a writer. Here's what she told the site:
Word is that he's developing a live-action Star Wars TV series now."Yes! A friend of mine is actually one of the writers on the show. It's set in space. I think it's like a family drama, as well, or something? I think he melted a few [ideas] together for it."
Has he tried to convince you to come aboard?
"I haven't had any calls about it yet! I think it's a ways away from production, perhaps."
Thin gruel, we know. But it's more than we knew before!
