The cult hit comic Postal is coming to the small screen, and Hulu has tapped a Walking Dead alum to bring it to life.

Deadline reports Hulu is developing a TV series based on the Mad Cow comic Postal, created by Matt Hawkins (Think Tank) and Bryan Hill (Broken Trinity: Pandora’s Box). The series will be set in the town of Eden, which is populated and run by fugitive criminals. The town is a place where even the secrets have secrets, and a few of them come back to haunt. The comic is framed through the lens of local postman Mark Shiffron. When a woman is found murdered in the town square, Mark takes a deep dive to find the truth.

The comic is a great read, and certainly has the potential to jump from page to screen. The series itself is being written by The Walking Dead co-executive producer Seth Hoffman. Matt Tolmach (The Amazing Spider-Man) and David Manpearl are signed on to executive-produce along with Hawkins and Top Cow’s Marc Silvestri.

Hulu snagged the project in a bidding war, so it stands to reason the service is strongly motivated to get it off the ground.
