Both Marvel's Runaways and the Seth Rogen/Evan Goldberg-produced Future Man have nabbed second-season renewals by Hulu, which ordered 13 episodes of each show. Future Man's first season was 13 episodes, while Runaways had 10 episodes in its initial outing, so it's fair to say Hulu is pleased with both.

After the events of Runaways' season finale "Hostile," fans should be thrilled to know they'll have an answer as to what happens next. The finale airs Tuesday and promises to be explosive. Likewise, Future Man fans have been waiting to discover the fate of the show since November, but they do have some hints as to what the showrunners may have planned.

Runaways, based on the comics by Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona and produced by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage (Chuck, Gossip Girl), has spent more time developing the stories of both the kids and the adults, leaving some asking when the Runaways were actually going to, run away. That change, however, has given the overall story more depth, drama, and intrigue that is sure to get expanded on in the second season.

Future Man stars Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games) Josh Futturman, a janitor by day/gamer by night who finds out the game he's playing is actually a tool by which he's selected to travel through time to prevent the extinction of humanity.

We don't have details on when each show will return, but it means we can look forward to more genre fare on Hulu in 2018, which is always a good thing.
