We thought they said all they wanted to say in the first three Underworld films, but apparently a fourth movie is underway, and this time humans are joining the fight. After three movies of Vamps versus Lycans, the first trailer for Underworld: Awakening reveals that we normals are now the hunters, while our friends both fanged and furry are now the prey.

Kate Beckinsale is, of course, back in her tight leather outfit for the movie, reprising her role as the "death dealer" Selene. She awakens 12 years in the future after being held captive in stasis, only to find that the tables have turned on the world stage. Now, as one of the last of her kind, Selene's re-emergence will shake up this new world order of humans vs. vamps vs. Lycans. And of course she needs to solve the mystery of what happened to her Lycan/Vamp hybrid lover, Michael.

The film is being directed by Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein, with series creator Len Wiseman producing. Check out the trailer for Underworld: Awakening, which will be released in 3-D on Jan. 20, 2012.
