To say Fantastic Four had a quiet shoot would be an understatement. Turns out director Josh Trank has wrapped filming, and here’s a selfie of Marvel’s First Family to prove it.
Aside from a handful of innocuous set pics, plus that alleged mockup of the Thing, we haven’t seen much of anything from the remake. Considering the studio decided to skip San Diego Comic-Con a few weeks ago, it makes the final product even more of a mystery.
Well, now we at least have a tiny peek at the new-look team assembled. In selfie form. Kate Mara, who plays the Invisible Woman, posted a pic with the rest of the team. Check it out below, where she’s joined by Miles Teller (Mr. Fantastic), Michael B. Jordan (Human Torch) and Jamie Bell (The Thing).
Sure, they’re still in street clothes, but it’s still technically the first time we’ve seen the gang together:
Everyone seems pretty happy, and if nothing else, this at least gives us an indication of when we might actually get to see some footage. Trank and company previously said they opted to skip Comic-Con because they didn’t have anything polished enough to show, and were waiting until they could make the best impression.
Now that filming is done, the timeline would imply we should get a trailer by around November or December. So, yeah, the wait continues. You can check out the original tweet below:
Fantastic Four is set to open June 19, 2015.
