San Diego Comic-Con is great fun for fans who want to meet the stars of their favorite shows. It’s even more fun if you’re a fan of Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark on Game of Thrones.
In what looks like an autograph line at SDCC, an unknown photographer took a picture of Williams sitting. Take a look at the nameplate she has in front of her. Instead of “Maisie Williams,” it reads, “No one.”
Fans of scrappy young Arya will recognize this as the journey her character is taking in Game of Thrones -- a journey to become “a faceless man” (or in her case, girl). In order to become the assassin that the Many-Faced God demands, Arya has to shed her identity and become “no one.”
It’s good to see Williams embracing her character like that. We all love Little Orphan Arya so much. It’s nice to know that Williams seems to love her as well.
